Muhlenberg College hosts the entire student body of Jefferson Elementary School (along with staff of the school) for their annual Field Day. A college student committee plans the event from hula hoops to the recruitment of approximately 200 student volunteers. The partnership between Muhlenberg College and Jefferson elementary began in 1991 and has grown to include many pathways of engagement. From preparing and implementing after school programs to facilitating teacher staff development - the two schools are deeply integrated.
