As you said nothing before you left, I concluded it was best to keep up the insurance so long as the house was in strange hands & the sum was so small. —

<personName>Jonathan Jones</personName> paid me $120: one years interest on Mortgage to <personName>Mary</personName>, due in May last. I could not find the <hi>bond</hi> in the trunk, so gave him a receipt.
