Everyone at Muhlenberg now has unlimited on-campus and off-campus streaming access to films in the Academic Video Online (AVON) collection! The collection includes over 63,000 titles across many subject areas and film types: documentaries, interviews, performances, news programs, newsreels, field recordings, commercials, demonstrations, original and raw footage with tens of thousands of exclusive titles. Several thousand films are not in English and all of these have subtitles in English.
How to find and access films
To access the AVON collection now, click here: AVON. On the AVON site, you can search or browse the collection. You can narrow your search/browse by subject area, film type, publisher, language, or date published. Film titles in the collection also are included in Encompass Search. “View now” links, 
, in Encompass will provide you with access on-campus or off-campus. (When off-campus you will be prompted to login with your campus network credentials.) In addition, the publisher has created a useful LibGuide* to help you sort through all that is available as well as to provide technical help and tutorials.
*Please note that the access link in the publisher’s LibGuide does not authorize off-campus access. For off-campus access, you must use the links provided by Trexler Library, which include the proxy prefix.
