Citing Sources

Did you know that the library databases produced by Ebscohost now offer assistance in properly citing sources? When using any of the Ebscohost databases (Academic Search Premier, ATLA Religion, Philosopher’s Index, Business Source Elite, etc.), click on any title in  your list of search results, then move your cursor over the icons on the upper right of the screen. One of them will say “Cite this Article.” Click on this icon, and Ebscohost will as if my magic produce a correct citation in any of a number of styles including MLA, APA, and Chicago/Turabian. Hurray! You won’t be reaching for the Tylenol!

Infomaniac Tip of the Week

The Infomaniac sez …
Mind-mapping software can help you visualize projects, tasks and information.  Freemind (http://freemind.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page) is a free software that helps you create maps that organize information.  Unlike other desktop applications, Freemind has very flexible categorization, browse and search capabilities.  It can be used for managing notes, designing a project, or creating a knowledge base.
