Building Trexler’s E-Book Collection

You may have noticed yesterday’s article in the New York Times discussing libraries’ acquisition of electronic books. Trexler staff very much want to see growth in the e-book portion of our collection. We are currently working with NetLibrary, a company with a long history in e-books. Besides e-reference books, to date we have acquired a few books for the main collection, mostly in the area of management studies. This semester, we are running a pilot with one academic department to further explore the process of e-book acquisition. After the pilot, we will probably be asking other departments to join in. Stay tuned!
