Muhlenberg Represented at NITLE Summit

In the last week of March, Trish Boyles (ABE) and Penny Lochner (Trexler Library) attended the NITLESummit, this year’s theme being Advancing Toward Liberal Arts 3.0. At this summit, participants shared innovative projects and processes that use current web technologies to enhance education. Because many of the presenters were from small colleges, the ideas shared tended to be highly relevant to our learning needs here at Muhlenberg. Penny and Trish plan to share these ideas and information formally and informally with faculty and staff. Here are some of the projects that inspired discussion at the Summit:

Learners as Designers: Furman University ChemWiki Projecthttp://ctl.furman.edu/main/demos/chemwiki/chemwiki.htm
Digital Humanities Project http://www.iath.virginia.edu
Educational Technology@ Bryn Mawr College http://www.edtech.blogs.brynmawr.edu
ERIAL: Ethnographic Research in Illinois Academic Libraries http://www.erialproject.org/
