Recent Developments

NITLE

At the annual NITLE conference in San Francisco last week, Joyce Hommel and Jen Jarson presented a well-attended poster session titled “Developing an Integrated Approach for Information and Technology Success.”

Their attendance at the conference also provided an opportunity to explore the possible ways that the college might benefit from resumed membership in NITLE, an organization specifically geared toward the needs of liberal arts colleges.

Zillow will help you find property values (est.) when comparing home prices in your own neighborhood or most anywhere in the country. At the website, just type in a residential address and then move the cursor over the satellite image to reveal prices.

4/13: Poetry Reading Group led by Prof. Alec Marsh (Trexler Library Rare Books Room, 3:30PM-5:00PM). In this 2nd and final session of this year’s Poetry Reading Group, we will be puzzling over some translations of poetry that appear in the April “translation” issue of Poetry. Please join us!

4/18: Meditation Group (Trexler Library Rare Books Room, 5:00PM-6:00PM). The meditation consists of 40 mins. of seated meditation and 5 min. walking meditation. Cushions provided.

4/21: “Notables” Book Group Meeting: “Shalimar the Clown” (Trexler Library Rare Books Room, 12:00PM-1:00PM). Promises to be a lively discussion about this recent Rushdie novel.
