Books Added to Trexler Library in Fall 2010

Here is a list of all books added to the collection at Trexler Library in fall of 2010. Thanks to all faculty and staff who assisted in the selection process.

Open Access to Dissertations

PQDT Open (http://pqdtopen.proquest.com/) provides the full text of open access dissertations and theses free of charge.

You can quickly and easily locate dissertations and theses relevant to your discipline, and view the complete text in PDF format.

The authors of these dissertations and theses have opted to publish as open access. PQDT Open is a new service offered by ProQuest’s UMI Dissertation Publishing, and ProQuest expects to have many more open access dissertations and theses over time.

If you’re looking for a specific dissertation or thesis and cannot find it here, request the title on interlibrary loan, or use Dissertation Express to order a copy.

For more information, visit UMI Open Access Publishing.

Infomaniac Tip

From the NITLE BlogLearning from an Undergraduate Digital Humanities Project

“In our second installment of videos on Digital Humanities and the Undergrad, Jen Rajchel, an English Major at Bryn Mawr College explains what she learned from developing her online thesis project, Mooring Gaps: Marianne Moore’s Bryn Mawr Poetry. Rajchel’s comments demonstrate both the value of engaging students in authentic research and the benefits of moving beyond the parameters of print assignments.”

Watch the video and link to Rajchel’s online thesis at http://blogs.nitle.org/2010/12/01/learning-from-an-undergraduate-digital-humanities-project/
