Off-Campus Access to Library Databases

Trexler Library staff are making changes to the way you are verified as an authorized off-campus user of online library resources. These changes will result in improved service for you. During this transition, should you experience any technical difficulties, please contact the library’s Front Desk at 484-664-3500 or email refdesk@muhlenberg.edu. Thank you for your patience.

Free Storage in the Clouds

Have you dreamed of a storage bin for data files of all types, especially when you can share the key to that storage bin with anyone you (and you alone) choose?

Well, dream no more. Three companies offer abundant storage space for an array of file types, at no charge to you, the data meister.

Dropbox starts you off with 2GB of free storage but you get referral perks, that is 500 MB of extra space for every friend you refer Dropbox to. More than 35 referrals later, you’ll be able to earn a maximum of 18GB, giving you a grand total of 20GB inclusive of your initial 2GB. For more storage, you can opt for the Pro Dropbox account for a fee.

Google Drive is readily available within your Gmail account. From there you start with 5GB worth of storage space. Additional space can be purchased with a wide variety of plans (ranging from 25GB to 16TB).

SkyDrive comes with 7GB of free storage. They have the cheapest upgrade plans among the 3 services which you can see in the picture below. They classify their upgrades as add-ons to your 7GB of space; unlike the previous two services. As they are also fairly new to the scene, there are no bigger storage plans to offer yet.
