Description
America's gracious First Lady, Mrs. Franklin Delano Roosevelt, begins her unforgettable day on the Muhlenberg Campus. She drove from Philadelphia to Allentown with Mrs. Levering Tyson, accompanied by two city policemen, one of them Edwin Geisinger of the class of 1937. The Muhlenberg Bicentennial commemorated the two-hundredth anniversary of the arrival in America of Henry Melchior Muhlenberg. It was held at Muhlenberg College from May 24 to June 1, 1942. The pageant "For God and Country," was performed daily. Students, faculty and administrators and their families, and local Allentown residents all participated.
