Announcing Search Central!

WHAT IS SEARCH CENTRAL?
Search Central is a federated search engine for searching across Trexler Library’s electronic resources from one simple interface.  With a single search, you are combing through 75 databases, including the Trexler Library catalog, all at once. The results are presented in a consolidated list. Additional options allow you to list results by topic and show you which databases hold your search results. See the full list of databases being searched. See also Search Central Help.

WHERE DO I ACCESS SEARCH CENTRAL?
Search Central is available on the library homepage.  Use the quick search via the tab at the center top of the page or the Search Central link in the Quick Links box.

HOW DO I USE SEARCH CENTRAL?
Search Central simultaneously searches 75 databases from a wide variety of subject areas.  Just enter your keywords and click go!  To narrow the selection of databases being searched at a time, use the More Search Options link from the tab or the Search Central link in the QuickLinks box on the library homepage.  You can limit your search by selecting one or more subject groupings of databases (e.g., Biology, English, or Psychology).  Alternately, you can mix and match individual databases, too (via the Search by Database link).
