- Paranormal State – investigators are students from the Penn State University Club, the Paranormal Research Society
- Ghost Hunters – lead investigators Jason and Grant (plumbers by trade) formed the group TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society)
- Ghost Adventures – led by filmmakers Zack, Nick and Aaron
- Most Haunted – now in its 12th season and filmed on location primarily in the UK
