Trexler Library Scuttlebutt – 1/24/08

Recent Developments

Painting of the Information Commons

The new Information Commons on Level A of the library is in the midst of construction this week. Painting began on Monday and will continue all week. A Wet Paint sign has been posted in the area and we’re asking people to use the other labs on Level B until the work is completed.

Student Art Work in the Library

This semester, the Art Dept. will begin exhibiting student art work along both recessed walls in the Information Commons, and in the Muhlenberg Room.

Infomaniac Tip of the Week

Library reserves misses you!

Starting this January, course reserves are available through library web pages. You can still have hard copy of reserve items held at the library, but whenever possible, we can deliver reserves in electronic format. What are the benefits?
-Students don’t have to be in the library to access electronic reserves.
-You can link to reserve materials from Blackboard.
-The library manages copyright compliance.
You can use this form http://www.muhlenberg.edu/library/forms/reserve_request.html to have material placed on reserve, or call the library (484) 664-3500 for assistance.
