What Can I Place on Course Reserves?

The library’s Course Reserves accommodates these items:

  • Hard copies of books
  • DVDs and other AV
  • Digitized articles and digitized book chapters via the library’s new Electronic Reserves system.
  • Streaming of audio and video clips.

Chris Brady (cbrady@muhlenberg.edu), Reserves Assistant, can assist you with all your Course Reserves needs. Send citations or full text of items intended for reserve to Chris. Requests may require 3 working days for processing.

In the next Scuttlebutt: “The Differences Between Blackboard and Electronic Reserves.”

Infomaniac Tip of the Week

If you are looking for a web based calendaring system, try 30 Boxes www.30boxes.com
30 Boxes calendar is simple to use. The tool has a rudimentary understanding of scheduling grammar, so appointments can be created in a single entry box by typing something like, “lunch, noon Friday with Jack.” It’s also an aggregation service for time-based updates from your social sites and for those of your friends. It has its own e-mail that you can use to set up alerts to yourself and others, send Web links, and track responses to your e-mails.
