Trexler Library Spring Trivia Night

The exciting day is fast approaching! 19 teams of 3-6 members each (students mostly, but also combos of students and staff) have already signed up at the circulation desk in the library. The number of teams will be capped at 25. Hurry over to sign up if you haven’t already! Faculty, staff, and students–all are welcome, in any combination, to form teams.

The popular event will commence at 7:00 p.m. and will run roughly 1.5-2 hours, Wednesday, Feb. 20. Tables will be set up through the main concourse on A level. Prof. Beth Schachter will MC. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams.

Scuttlebutt offers up these these preliminary questions to “Thaw Out Your Brain” (the catch-phrase of this spring’s Trivia Night) in preparation for the event:

1. What did the 7 dwarves do for a job?
2. Where was El Greco born?
3. What year did Elvis Presley die?
4. Where are the Luxembourg Gardens?
5. How many equal sides (faces) does an icosahedron have?

This online seminar considers the idea of the library as a nationwide, systemic resource from the perspective of two leading thinkers in the library world. It also continues our collective conversation about the future of the liberal arts college library. Faculty, librarians, instructional technologists, and others from the NITLE Network are invited to attend: attendance by institutional teams is strongly encouraged. Individuals are also welcome to participate.
