Infomaniac Tip

Do you use Facebook? With more than 300 million active users, Facebook’s user base is rivaling the population of the United States. Chances are your students log in every day, but young to middle age professionals are among the fastest growing user groups. Users in the 45-59 age groups also show growth.

With Facebook user numbers growing every day, more people are putting more personal information on the web for the world to see. Many don’t stop to consider, though, who could be reading their posts and viewing their photos: friends and family, perhaps, but also colleagues, (current and potential) employers, and maybe even some with more injurious intentions. Whether you’re just getting started with Facebook or are a seasoned user, consider the following tips to stay safe and private on Facebook.
