Episode Twelve: Muhlenberg bids farewell to his children. "Long was the way and hard. my sons, from darkness into light, but now the land is free. The future is before you. Choose your way to build this new America, forgetting not the Holy Scriptures..." The Muhlenberg Bicentennial commemorated the two-hundredth anniversary of the arrival in America of Henry Melchior Muhlenberg. It was held at Muhlenberg College from May 24 to June 1, 1942. The pageant "For God and Country," was performed daily. Students, faculty and administrators and their families, and local Allentown residents all participated.
