As a way to extend the spirit of the holiday season, Trexler Library staff volunteered to help out with Second Harvest Food Bank’s Backpack Buddies program. Through Backpack Buddies, the food bank distributes food to 116 children dependent on school breakfast and lunch programs for their meals, and who may not have have food in their homes over the weekend. Library staff spent the morning of January 5 filling 564 bags with food that will be given to the needy children every Friday during the month of January.
